Hanging with Mr. Cooper

I have never been a dog person. Both times that  my dad got rid of our dogs, Sambo and Jackson, I was sad, but the next day I never really cared. Clayt loves dogs. He still remembers how sad he was when his dad got rid of his dogs as a kid. But, he likes big dogs. The only dog I ever really LOVED is Rudy, Amber's dog. Then the girls came along...
Clayt researches dogs. He knows which dogs are good with kids, don't shed and have generally good health. I did promise him a dog one day, but the kind of dog he wants does not fit into our lifestyle currently. Guess what kind of dog does... A yorkie. He tells me how they don't shed, are great in apartments and so on and so forth. He didn't have to tell me, I have loved Rudy since the day Matt proposed, and he is a great dog.
A month a go, Clayt tells me this lady has some puppies he wants to look at. I am like, uh, no. But he made the appointment and I went with. I fell in love with a fluffy, 25 ounce critter. How do you say no to a yorkie puppy? I will tell you, they are expensive. So we tell her no the next day. But she likes us, and wants us to have one of her dogs. So I say.. offer her half, and Clayt does and she accepts. So now what is my argument?
I am still not a dog person, but I am in LOVE with him...

My dog is so small, and you can't tell how small in pics. He fits in Clayt's hat, proof of his 1.8 pounds of adorable.

His name is Cooper. He has soft, fluffy hair. He is getting used to the potty pad and loves to play. He also loves to cuddle, so we get along great. He is my little cuddle muffin, and sleeps with me every night. Welcome to the family Coop.

First things First

So, I did a lot of cool things this summer. Including an amazing trip to California, that I have yet to blog about partly because I am lazy, and also busy. But... I did spend some quality time with my favorite ladies this weekend. And who are we kidding, people would much rather see them than me, so I know I need to put this up first... just giving the people what they really want. Eat your heart out blogger world.

Totes Legit

So I am officially a legitimate member of society. I have earned BS. (Bachelor of Science that is). And, I need to thank the institution that helped me do it.
Dear BYU-I,
Thank you for being accredited and having cheap (relatively cheap, there is no such thing as cheap) tuition. Thank you for being in an extremely boring town, where a married girl can have no distractions, because nothing interesting exists. Thank you for having such great professors and staff that actually care about me and my success. I want you to know that I forgive you for the dress code, for never allowing me to wear shorts or capris, for kicking me out of the testing center that one time because of the patch in my jeans. I also forgive you for the absolutely ridiculous construction that commenced before I arrived here, and is still continuing today. I also forgive you for having a semi-absurd view on attendance and being in a place that is so unbearably cold I questioned why I chose to come here every day in October-April, but I am really proud to be a Viking. Represent.
Love,
JT

So this is it, now all I have to do is make it ONE MORE YEAR until Clayt is done. Pray for us, just kidding, but seriously, winter is right around the corner.

GOLF

Clayt and I had a full on free day Saturday, it was awesome. So we had an adventure, went to DI got some golf clubs, bought some golf tees and hit the driving range.

serious concentration

I went with the Happy Gilmore stance and hit, and it worked out pretty good.. when I actually hit the ball it FLEW, it was just hard to hit the thing.

and baby boy is pretty good, no lie- those balls were flying.

oh and we broke a few tees...

All and all, golfing is pretty fun, especially when you are really good at smacking, hitting, slamming, and playing with BALLS. ha. balls.

Just another day

So I had a great day today. And tomorrow is going to be even better. Maybe I will post about it sometime in the next month. So in chronological order, this is the deal...
This angel baby and her parents came up to Rex this weekend. I didn't get any photos with Ash or Jon, but they stayed at our house so I got to hold her all day and night. It was splendid.

Rexburg SunRISE. yes, the rise... I know what time it starts up.

We were in the wild and crazy burg for the 4th, and spent the weekend with my favorite rexburg residents: Grizzy. We got the ultimate American meal to celebrate her Bday:

And went here: YELLOSTONE!

If you have never been to Yellowstone, its cool, it was my first time. But seriously, nature rocks. SO freaking pretty. Liz and Grady are standing in front of Old Faithful!! they are really that short, and the geyser is that tall.

Then, I went to Vegas over memorial day. My crazy babies were there too. I love these buggas. Londy was also blessed this weekend, so it was puuurrrrrfect timing.

I am really excited for these girls to come up tomorrow and play with me: (and for the rest of the fam too)

OH, and Idaho Falls got a buffalo wild wings. BOOYAH

see you laaatttterrrr gator

Big Boi

Clayt reached his goal of 200, actually he is 201 pounds. Seems simple because most people pack on the pounds with no problem once they get married, but he has worked REALLY hard to bulk himself up. I am really proud of him for sticking to his guns (like big guns... muscles... get it?) and reaching his goal. He works out really hard and drinks shakes that make him gag, so tip of the hat to you tuttle. You are a big boy

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands

As I creep closer to graduation, I am getting pretty stressed out. Like, what the freak do I do next? Also, I have a pretty intense homework load and find myself stressed out to the max most days. And tired. Sometimes pretty grumpy. But there are some quick fixes for me. treats and a fresh fizzy diet coke will ALWAYS make me feel better. These things make me happy too.

Clayt is seriously such a sweetheart. He lets me be a total grump and supports my addictive habits (running to the gas station at any hour of day for some candy and a DC)

My friends make me really happy. These are my closest friends. My girl Amy, and my BG's(minus Whitnee)

I LOVE PIZZA. it really does make me happy. I love to experiment with it and eat it and find new delicious places. Happiness.

These angel babies bring more joy to my life... than I don't even know what. I miss them every day.

Double happy: My seesers. and the beach. Hawaii even more. Hawaii is bliss. Straight up. This is a pic from MAUI, best family vacation of my life. Sorry you are super prego in this pic Amber (Its dylie in there)

I love food, as mentioned before. I love cheesy and spicy mexican (this is red iguana in SLC.. go there) and a McDonalds breakfast will turn any crappy morning into a decent day. Its just that good, and the diet coke is the best, better than any other joint.

And the most instant way to cheer me up: a DC and a candy. Works every time.
